Religion in Latin America and Caribbean
As of 2020, Christianity was by far the largest religion in Latin America, with an estimated 46 million adherents, nearly 90% of the population. Next comes the unaffiliated population, estimated at around 4.5 million people or 8.57% of the Latin American population.
Folk religions account for 2.17% of the population. Other Non-Christian faiths are less than 1% of the population and include Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Jews, and smaller faiths.

Brazil is the country with the Largest Christian population in Latin America. It has an estimated 185 million people who adhere to Christianity. With a 48 million Christian population, Colombia is in second place followed by Argentina (37 million). Peru with a 31 million Christian population is in 4th place closely followed by Venezuela in the fifth spot.
