Religion in Tonga

Christianity is the main religion in  Tonga and 97% of the population of is Christian. About 53.7% of the population adheres to Methodist Churches, 18.6% are  Mormons, 14.2 % are Catholics and 10.4% follow other protestants churches. 

About 2.2% of the population follows the Baha’i faith. The remaining 0.8% are classified as unaffiliated, which can mean agnostic, atheist, or “nothing in particular.”
