Christianity is the main religion in New Caledonia and 98% of the population of is Christian. As per the census studies following denominations are the largest, Congregational Christian (32 %), Roman Catholic (19%), The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (15%), Methodist (14%), Assemblies of God (8%) and Seventh-day Adventist (4 %).
Smaller Christian Groups include Jehovah’s Witnesses, Congregational Church of Jesus, Nazarene, nondenominational Protestant, Baptist, Worship Centre, Peace Chapel, Samoa Evangelism, Elim Church, and Anglican.
Other smaller religions make up 2% of the population. And include Baháʼí, Hindus, Islam, Buddhists, Jews, and traditional believers.
