Nashik City and District Population
Nashik is an ancient city located in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Nashik is the fourth largest city in Maharashtra in terms of population after Mumbai, Pune, and Nagpur. Situated on the banks of the river Godavari, Nasik is well known for being one of the Hindu pilgrimage sites, that of Kumbh Mela which is held every 12 years. It’s also known as the “Wine Capital of India” as half of India’s vineyards and wineries are located in Nashik.

LITERACY RATE
The average literacy rate of Nashik City in 2011 was 89.85 %. If things are looked at gender-wise, male and female literacy was 93.40% and 85.92% respectively. The total literate in Nashik city was 11,78,446 of which 6,43,543 are males while 5,43,903 are females.
SEX RATIO
