As per provisional reports of Census India, the population of  Mohali City in 2011 was 146,213  (1.46 Lakhs) of which the male population is 76,507 and the female population is 69,706.

LITERACY RATE

The average literacy rate of  Mohali City in 2011 was 91.96 %. If things are looked at gender-wise, male and female literacy was 93.67 % and 90.08 % respectively. The total literate in  Mohali city was 121,742 of which 64,803 are males while 56,939 are females.
