Religion in Marshall Islands

Christianity is the main religion in the Marshall Islands and 98% of the population is Christian. About 80% of the population are Protestants, 8.5% are Catholics, 7% are Mormons, 1.7% are Jehovah’s Witnesses, and other Christians at 1.2%.

The main Churches are the United Church of Christ, the Assemblies of God, the Roman Catholic Church, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons).

Persons without any religious affiliation account for a small percentage of the population (1.1%). There are fewer than 20 people who practice the Jewish faith and fewer than 20 members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
