As per provisional reports of Census India, the population of Ludhiana City in 2011 is 16,18,879 ( 16.18 Lakhs) of which the male population is 8,74,908 and the female population is 7,43,971

LITERACY RATE

The average literacy rate of Ludhiana City in 2011 was 85.77%. If things are looked out at gender-wise, male and female literacy was 88.87% and 82.13% respectively. The total literate in Ludhiana city was 12,30,545 of which 6,89,707 are males while 5,40,838 are females.

SEX RATIO
