Lakshadweep is a group of islands in the Lakshadweep Sea and is a union territory of India. It’s 200 to 440 km (120 to 270 mi) off the southwestern coast of India. The islands form the smallest Union Territory of India and their total surface area is just 32 km2 (12 sq mi).
As per provisional reports of Census India, the population of Lakshadweep in 2011 was 64,473 and the projected population of Lakshadweep in 2025 is 69,000.
