Kota City and District Population

Kota is a city located in the state of Rajasthan. With a population of over 10 Lakhs, it is the third most populous city of Rajasthan after Jaipur and Jodhpur, & the 46th most populous city in India. Kota was ranked the second most livable city in the state (after Jaipur) & included among 98 Indian cities for Smart Cities Mission. It’s a Coaching hub for Engineering Examinations.

As per provisional reports of Census India, the population of Kota City in 2011 was 10,01,694 (10.01 Laks) of which the male population was 5,28,601 and the female population was 4,73,093

The initial provisional data released by Census India 2011, shows that the density of Kota for 2011 is 1900 people per sq. km. Kota City administers an area is 521 sq. km

LITERACY RATE

The average literacy rate of Kota City in 2011 was  82.80%. If things are looked at gender-wise, male and female literacy was 89.49 % and 75.33 %. respectively. Total literate in Kota city was 7,28,664  of which 4,15,305  are males while 3,13,359  are females.

SEX RATIO

With regard to the Sex Ratio in Kota, it stood at 895 per 1000 males. The average national sex ratio in India is 940 as per the latest reports of the Census 2011 Directorate. In the 2011 census, the child sex ratio is 885 girls per 1000 boys
