It is the fourth largest city in the state & located about 193 kilometers east of the state capital, Hyderabad, 61 kilometers from Suryapet, and 120 kilometers from Warangal. LITERACY RATE
The average literacy rate of Khammam City in 2011 was 81.70 %. If things are looked at gender-wise, male and female literacy was 87.14 % and 76.43%. respectively. The total literate in Khammam city was 136,532 of which 71,580 are males while 64,952 are females.
SEX RATIO
