Religious Demographics of Kenya (2025 Updated)
Christianity is the majority religion in Kenya and its followed by 85.5% of the population. Among Christians, Protestants churches have the largest adherents followed by the Roman Catholics, African Churches, and other small Christian groups.

Kenya’s religious landscape has remained predominantly Christian, with over 80% of the population identifying as such from 2010 to 2050. However, the proportion of Muslims is gradually increasing, from 10.5% in 2010 to an estimated 13.3% by 2050. The unaffiliated population has remained relatively stable, hovering around 2-2.5%. Folk religions and other minority faiths continue to make up a small percentage of the population. These trends reflect gradual demographic shifts while maintaining Kenya’s strong religious identity.
