Haldwani Population 2024

Haldwani is a city in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is the largest city in the Kumaon region and the Haldwani Urban agglomeration has a population of 1 million people. It is the second-most Urban Agglomeration in Uttarakhand, after Dehradun.  It is also the third most populous city and is located in the Nainital District. Being situated in the immediate foothills of Kumaon Himalayas, the Kathgodam neighbourhood of Haldwani is known as the “Gateway to Kumaon”.

As per provisional reports of Census India, the population of  Haldwani-cum-Kathgodam  in 2011 is 156,060 (1.56 Lakhs) of which the male population is 81,918 and the female population is 74,142

LITERACY RATE

The average literacy rate of Haldwani-cum-Kathgodam in 2011 was 81.75 %. If things are looked out at gender-wise, male and female literacy was 84.84 % and 78.34%. respectively. The total literate in Haldwani-cum-Kathgodam was 111,410 of which 60,678 are males while 50,732 are females.

SEX RATIO
