Fiji, officially the Republic of Fiji,  is an island country in Melanesia, part of Oceania in the South Pacific Ocean. Fiji consists of an archipelago of more than 330 islands & lies about 2,000 km (1,300 mi) northeast of New Zealand. As per the World Population Prospects, 2019 by the United Nations, the population of  Fiji in 2023 is 936,376 (9.36 lakh)

The total Land Area of Fiji is 18,274 sq. km (7,056 sq. mi) and the Population Density of Fiji is 49 per Km2 (127 people per mi2).

Religion in Fiji

Fiji is a multi-religious and multi-ethnicity country. Religion tends to split along ethnic lines with most Indigenous Fijians being Christian and most Indo-Fijians being either Hindu or Muslim

Christianity is the majority religion and its followed by 64.4% of the population. Hinduism is the second largest religion and its followed by 27.9% of the population. Islam is the third largest religion and is followed by 6.3%.  Others are at 1.1% and include indigenous faiths and unaffiliated populations.
