Christianity is the largest religion in Cape Verde, and 85% of the population are adherents of Christianity. Roman Catholics have the most numbers of adherents. About 5% of the population is Protestant. Non-Christian faiths account for 3%, and the remaining 11.6% are classified as unaffiliated, which can mean agnostic, atheist, or “nothing in particular.” There is a small Baháʼí Faith community and a small Muslim community.
