Siliguri Police General Information
The Siliguri Police is part of the West Bengal police and is responsible for maintaining Law and Order enforcement in the Cities of Siliguri & New Jalpaiguri. Siliguri Police Commissionerate started functioning on 4th August 2012. Siliguri Police Commissionerate has jurisdiction extending to 640 sq km consisting of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation area and adjoining suburban areas. The Commissionerate is headed by the Commissioner of Police. The Commissioner is assisted by four Dy. Commissioners (DCPs) and 12 ACPs.
Siliguri Police is divided into two Zones East & West headed by officer in the rank of DCP. They are further divided into 4 ACP Offices i.e East I, East II, West 1 & West II, each headed by officers in the rank of ACPs. There are Seven Law & Order police stations in Siliguri including a Women Police Station. It also has Various specialized units like – Detective Department, Traffic Department, Special Branch, Crime Branch Enforcement Branch. The List of Police Stations is as follows
