Ludhiana City Police is part of the Punjab Police. Ludhiana City has a Police Commissionerate system. The Commissionerate system was introduced in Ludhiana city on 15th Feb 2010. It’s headed by the Commissioner of Police and assisted by 3 Joint CPs, DCPs, Additional DCPs, and 20 ACPs.
Administratively Ludhiana Police Commissionerate is divided into 28 regular police stations and 2 special police stations viz. women police station and NRI police station. It is further divided into Eight Subdivisions and two zones (City and Rural). Besides these police stations crime wing, special branch, traffic police, and PCR mobile vehicle units form an integral part of the Ludhiana Police Commissionerate.
