Pakistan has the 6th largest diaspora in the world, with 8-10 million people living or settled outside Pakistan. As per the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and HRD report 2017, an estimated 8.8 million Pakistanis live abroad or outside Pakistan.

The Middle East has the largest Pakistanis Overseas population estimated at 4.7 million and Saudi Arabia is the country that has the most overseas Pakistanis.  As per the estimates, the Pakistani Population in Saudi Arabia in 2022 is  2.6 million

Pakistanis in Saudi Arabia 2022

More than a third of Saudi’s population is made up of expats. In 2021, the expat population is 13.49 million. The population of Saudi Arabia including expats is more than 35 million. Pakistanis make up around 10 % of the Saudi Arabia population and are the third largest community of expatriates in Saudi Arabia. The population of Pakistanis in Saudi Arabia as of 2022 is 2,450,000 (25 lakh).

Saudi Arabia is also the largest market for unskilled Pakistani workers. The country hosts nearly 1.06 million Pakistanis, most of them working in unskilled sectors like construction. Some of the cities where Pakistanis ex-pats are in large numbers are Riyadh, Khobar, Jeddah, Makkah, Jubail, Dammam, Jizan and Medina
