Bareilly is a city in the state of Uttar Pradesh. It’s the Biggest City in the Rohilkhand region. It is the eighth-largest metropolis in Uttar Pradesh and the 50th-largest city in India. The city is also known by the name Nath Nagri (for the seven Shiva temples located in the Bareilly region – Dhopeshwar Nath, Madhi Nath, Alaska Nath, Tapeshwar Nath, Bankhandi Nath, Pashupati Nath, and Trivati Nath) and historically as Sanjashya (where the Buddha descended from Tushita to earth).
