  1. Patna, The capital city with a population of 2,049,156, is the most populous city in Bihar and the 19th most populous city in India. It has a rich history and is famous for its ancient monuments and religious sites, including the Mahavir Mandir, Patna Museum, and Gandhi Maidan.

  2. Gaya has a population of 463,454 and is the fifth most populous city in Bihar. It is an important pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists and is home to the famous Mahabodhi Temple, Bodhgaya, and Vishnupad Temple.

  3. Bhagalpur with a population of 398,138, is the seventh most populous city in Bihar. It is known for its silk production and is referred to as the “Silk City of India.” The Vikramshila Gangetic Dolphin Sanctuary and Sultanganj Buddha Statue are popular tourist spots in the city.

  4. Darbhanga has a population of 346,160 and is the tenth most populous city in Bihar. It is known for its rich cultural heritage, exquisite handloom work, and delicious sweets. The Raj Darbhanga Palace and Mithila Museum are popular attractions.

  5. Muzaffarpur has a population of 351,838 and is the ninth most populous city in Bihar. It is a significant commercial center and is famous for its litchi fruit production. The Baba Garibnath Temple, Jubba Sahni Park, and Ram Chandra Shahi Museum are some popular tourist spots.
